Language learning through co curricular practise makes use of various sources of language input for language enhancement in informal setting. For example, language learners during co curricular activities can have exposure to social interaction in English in informal setting which has the potential to boost language learning. Language communication also uses various sources of language input through different audiovisual mass media technologies. In the same line, the present study aimed at filling the gap in the experimental work on finding an authentic source of language input that can best contribute to developing speaking proficiency in a class room context which lacks the social context similar to that of the co curricular activities. The effect of exposure to audiovisual mass media, and social interaction in language communication improves language proficiency to a great extent.
