Tribute
to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam
(October 15, 1931 - July 27, 2015)
Here lived an ideal model man, a scientist, a
professor, a worker, a devotee, a Hindu, a Muslim, A Christian, an Indian, a
world citizen and above all a great patriot and visionary. That is Dr. A.
P. J. Abdul Kalam. Born in India, brought up India, reached the ultimate
abode from India and worked and talked for India.
Whatsoever may the area of his work, there he could
create innovation and wonderful achievements working with his colleagues
and sharing all the credits to them..
He took the responsibility by himself of the failures
of his group in the mission whenever it happened, and shared the
credit of achievements to his colleagues. This he said he is following
the footsteps of his master and ISRO Chairman.
Learning from everywhere and teaching everyone. Inspiring
everyone and working for everyone. Praying that till the last day he should be
active and should not lie in the bed. The last breathing day should not
be declared as a holiday instead should have an extra working hour for
the nation.
A man who said what he did and did what he said. He was a
man of simplicity and humility, never too much bothered about protocols and
procedures in India or abroad. He could rise upto the sky and reach
down to earth.
A lover of music and Indian culture, a lover of humanity
and empathiser of others pains. Who could think for others and work for others.
I personally have the greatest pleasure to say
that when I met him for 2 hrs personally spending with him in Inaugural
function of Malabar Engineering college. He guided how the science should march
forward. He said every ancient Indian literature should be studied for modern
and refined scientific information, He said all the unknown science and
technology of ancient India should be brought out scientifically,
logically and rationally.
Above all I am blessed to have a work (research paper)
during my M.Ed course published entitled “Educational thoughts of
Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam”, which I consider as a great blessing for me to offer a
holy flower on Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s lotus feet. More over I have an
article entitled ‘My experiences with Kalam’ in a college magazine of Arafa
Institute for teacher Education “Vagartha”.
LET OUR BELOVED DR. A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM’S BIRTHDAY BE CELEBRATED AS
STUDENTS’ DAY IN INDIA AND WORLD OVER.
Because
He inspired students, his speeches and writings focussed
on students!
He encouraged students from all walks of life to serve the nation
He motivated them to become good and great citizens of
India..
He accepted the
invitations from even the poorest
and richest students.
He considered all
students equal and equally
brilliant to march forward.
His messages are for the students belonging from LKG to the last degree.
He even
communicated directly with
students in remote areas of India.
He submitted his own life as a model for them to rise
from zero to hero.
The good he could see students he appreciated and quoted their examples in his lectures .
He always kept the smiling face towards students, which itself was a great
inspiration
Students from all religion and all political group loved and respected him.
He never focused on any religion or any political colour
in words or deeds.
It is better to say he focussed all religion and all
political groups.
In memory of my ideal Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
