Science is involved, even in the minute aspects of day-to-day life and has become part of us; therefore, understanding it is very important to build a better tomorrow and to expand the quality of life. Science helps us to understand the complex processes and mechanism in a system. It answers many questions that we ask out of curiosity.  For example, why do we breathe? How is respiration taking place? etc.
Learning science increases the problem solving capacity and knowledge resulting in more inventions that ease the day-to-day activities of life, for example, all gadgets used in the kitchen or machines in factories, etc. It further helps us to protect the environment, be eco-friendly and live safe without being affected by diseases and other environmental factors.
Science has helped us to explore and grow in different aspects such as
·         Communication - From computers to touch phones, science helps man to communicate from one end to the other end of the globe.
·         Medicine- Science has done wonders in the field of medicine. Examples are diagnosis of diseases; cure for tuberculosis; chemotherapy for cancer; vaccines for diseases like small pox, tetanus; and antibiotics such as penicillin, bacitracin, etc.  Instruments, such as X-ray, MRI scanner, etc., changed the way how diseases are being diagnosed. Surgical procedures, such as heart transplantation during heart failure, plastic surgery in case of injuries, etc., gave a fresh lease of life for those who were affected by it.
·         Food industry and agriculture- Increasing the quality of food, advanced method of food storage, etc have created a revolution in the food industry, which has helped us in achieving self-sufficiency in most of the developing countries, especially in India. Research on agriculture helped to develop high quality crops having insect and pest resistant quality along with enriched vitamin and mineral content in it.

Thus, science serves as a tool for education and uplifting the masses.
